“Get Out Authentic Mason Cole Jersey ,” “The Shape of Water,” “Big Little Lies” and “The Handmaid’s Tale” were just some of the films and television series honored by the Broadcast Film Critics Assn. and Broadcast Television Journalists Assn. Thursday at the 23rd annual Critics’ Choice Awards.

Overall nominations leader “The Shape of Water” walked away with the most movie awards with four, including best picture and best director for helmer Guillermo del Toro. On the television side, “Big Little Lies” also reigned with four wins, including yet another best limited series prize. “The Handmaid’s Tale” and “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel” won in the top drama and comedy fields.

Gary Oldman (“Darkest Hour”) and Allison Janney (“I, Tonya”) joined Frances McDormand and Sam Rockwell (“Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri”) in the winners circle for film acting honors, while Sterling K. Brown (“This Is Us”), Nicole Kidman (“Big Little Lies”), Ted Danson (“The Good Place”) and Mayim Bialik (“The Big Bang Theory”) were among the television acting victors.

The BFCA’s genre categories went to “Get Out” (best sci-fihorror film), “Wonder Woman” (best action film) and “The Big Sick” (best comedy film). Screenplay honors went to “Get Out” and “Call Me by Your Name.”

“Wonder Woman” director Patty Jenkins presented Gal Gadot with the #SeeHer Award, honoring women who push boundaries and recognize the importance of accurately portraying women across the entertainment landscape.

At the end of a day that saw five women come forward with accusations of sexual misconduct aimed at James Franco, the “Disaster Artist” star won the award for best actor in a comedy. He did not attend the ceremony, and presenter Walton Goggins accepted on his behalf.

The “Time’s Up” movement was otherwise very much a topic at hand. Del Toro, Gadot, Kidman and Kumail Nanjiani all referenced the amplification of women’s voices in their speeches. Meanwhile, emcee Olivia Munn was joined by comedian Niecy Nash for a tongue-in-cheek “Toast to the Good Guys” bit, appreciating all the men who behaved themselves in 2017. The segment also referenced the recent “All the Money in the World” pay gap dispute: “Thank you to all the producers for paying Niecy and I the same and Mark Wahlberg a million bucks,” Munn said.(Agencies)

Walmart on Wednesday announced it will change the company's legal name from Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. to Walmart Inc effective Feb. 1, 2018.

The move is to reflect that shopping doesn't just take place in retail stores, but customers also want to shop online, on their mobile device, or through pickup and delivery.

"Whether it's in our stores, on our sites, with our apps, by using their voice or whatever comes next, there is just one Walmart as far as our customers are concerned," Doug McMillon, president and CEO at Walmart, wrote in a blog post.

Walmart says each week, over 260 million customers visit its 11,600 stores in 28 countries and eCommerce websites. In October, the retailer revealed it expects its US ecommerce business to grow sales by roughly 40 percent in the upcoming fiscal year.

Walmart has made major investments in its e-commerce strategy as it tries to compete with Amazon, including its $3 billion acquisition last year of Jet.

"Our customers know us as Walmart and today they shop with us not only in our stores but online and with our app as well," McMillon said in a statement. "While our legal name is used in a limited number of places, we felt it was best to have a name that was consistent with the idea that you can shop us however you like as a customer. Looking ahead, we'll continue to invest in and strengthen our stores around the world and expand our eCommerce capabilities as we help save customers' time and money. As time goes on, customers will increasingly just think of and see one Walmart."

Walmart's digitally focused growth strategy includes an aggressive push into online grocery and increased capital spending on digital supply chain capabilities and in-store technology. Walmart's e-commerce site now sells more than 50 million different types of items, up five times more that it offered just one year ago.

Past digital investments, Walmart said it will continue to strengthen its retail stores.

Walmart will continue to trade on the NYSE as WMT and the company name should be referenced as Walmart, the company said.(Agencies)
